Da Dou De Choreography

These are not the complete Da Dou De choreography notes but it does take you about two minutes into the song. These make the most sense once you have physically gone through it in class. Here you go - have fun!

Notes: Always a slight bend in the knees, most of the song done in 1/2 time

1,2: Step forward, right arm up (floreo w/hand), left hand hip
3,4: Left hip up (left glute contraction)
5,6: Right arm, Right leg swing back, Right arm extended up
7,8: Left hip up (glute contraction) 

1, 2: Turn right, arms come in close and open horizontal, to present yourself, body facing left
3,4: Right hip up on 3 and on 4
5,6: Step to face directly front, arms are coming up for next move
7,8: Right hip up on 7, Left hip up on 8, while arms come up daintily

(CHORUS)  1/2 time feet
Walk angled to left, shoulder roll
walk back to center, drop right hip two levels
Walk angled to right, shoulder roll
walk back to center, drop left hip two levels

1/4 time walking
Traveling/walking backwards
Side to side ribcage, with arms out, sit into move, knee up toes pointed  --2 counts of 8

2 counts of 8
Back facing left, travel to front of stage (sideways) with chest locks on second chest lock lower body level -- repeat traveling back, turn and head roll on 7, 8 of the second count

3 step turn left angle with arabesque, walk backwards to center,
3 step turn right with arabesque, walk backwards to center
Angled right, Right hip up, left hip up
Undulation down to up (w/music accent)

Folksy, shoulder shimmy, Right foot crosses left 1,2, 3, 4, 5 on 6 step left to right
7,8 - ext circle, front left back right

Chasse R: 1,2, L:3, 4, R: 5, 6. On 7, 8 Left leg reaches behind to turn and face back

Facing Back: Repeat folk step, at end turn to face front

Chasse: Forward, R, L, R, on 7,8 ext. circle

Cross left foot behind right, extend left leg, arm wave for 3,4
Repeat on R foot
Repeat on L foot
Repeat on R foot

Go to CHORUS:
Walk angled to left, shoulder roll
walk back to center, drop right hip two levels
Walk angled to right, shoulder roll
walk back to center, drop left hip two levels
Side to side waves, with arms, sit knee up toes pointed -repeat 3 times

2 8's
Back facing left, travel to front of stage (sideways) with chest locks on second chest lock lower body level -- repeat backwards, head roll
3 step turn left angle with arabesque, walk back to center,
3 step turn right with arabesque, walk back to center
